Indian Law

This course examines advanced topics in federal Indian law, including an in-depth examination of Tribal land and natural resource use and management. Covered topics will include Tribal lands; unique Tribal-state relations, including federal Indian laws within Alaska and Hawai’i; Indian gaming; Indian child welfare; Tribal water law; usufructuary rights; hunting and fishing rights; environmental regulation; and government services for Natives.
