THE NADRICH & COHEN CIVIL JUSTICE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
This is an award to be given to full-time students for the 2014-15
academic year. These students are to have a commitment to the civil
justice system. The scholarship consists of $1,000, payable through the
educational institution on behalf of the student. Students may apply for
the scholarship fund by submitting a 500-1000 word essay detailing the
importance of jury trials in our society. Submissions will be judged and will
succeed based on creativity, passion and overall interest in the subject. Essay
submissions will be accepted from April 1, 2014, through August 1, 2014.

SHANNON BYBEE SCHOLARSHIP
International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA) will award prizes of $2,500
for each of the two best research papers written by students of accredited law
schools as part of their class work during the 2013-2014 school year. The awards honor the memory of Shannon Bybee,
one of the IAGA founders, who had a distinguished career as a gaming attorney, state gaming regulator, gaming industry executive and pioneering educator in casino operations and gaming law.

HYLAND DORIA & TINDALL EQUITY AND INCLUSION SCHOLARSHIP
in 2014, the Rukin Hyland Doria & Tindall (RHDT) Equity and Inclusion
Scholarship is awarded annually to a second-year law student who presents solid
academic credentials, personal achievement outside the school environment,
significant participation in community service, and an interest in employment
law. This program is designed to
increase the participation of underrepresented groups in the bar, including law
students who are economically disadvantaged.

JOHN LEWIS KING SCHOLARSHIP
The John Lewis King Memorial Scholarship Fund, co-sponsored and supported by the San Bernardino County Bar Association, is now accepting applications from second and third year law students. Our deadline for application is September 5th, and we will award to one student a scholarship of $7,500.00.
LATHAM & WATKINS
DIVERSITY SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The Latham & Watkins Diversity Scholars Program is designed to
increase the number of diverse law students studying at ABA-accredited law
schools who want to pursue a career in a global law firm, and intend to
practice law in the United States. The program was launched in 2005, and for
the first six years, the firm selected four Diversity Scholars each year to
receive $10,000 scholarships. In 2012, the program was expanded to award six
$10,000 scholarships to second-year students. Factors considered in choosing
the Diversity Scholars include academic and leadership achievements, life
experiences and challenges that have shaped values, and a desire to practice at
a global law firm and contribute to its diversity objectives.

1-800-LAW-FIRM SCHOLARSHIP ESSAY CONTEST
Scholarship writing contest challenging law school students to demonstrate with an essay of at least 1,000 words how they would improve the legal system. The grand prize is a $10,000 law school scholarship that will be decided on November 24,2014. Entries will be accepted from Tuesday, July 1, through Sunday, Oct. 5.

$1,000 scholarship is available to students pursuing a career in law. Applicants
must submit a 500-word essay on the topic, "Who or what is your inspiration for

FAMILY LAW SCHOLARSHIP

to aspiring lawyers through the Farzad Family Law Scholarship. This $3,000 scholarship is awarded to one
student based on merit. To apply, you will need to submit an essay on the question, “Should
the right to marry for same-sex couples become a federal constitutional right
by amendment to the United States Constitution or remain a State issue?”

THE PEARCE LAW FIRM - EMPOWERING WOMEN IN LAW SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship opportunity is open to women nationwide who are currently attending a law school in the United States. This scholarship is intended to encourage & support outstanding achievement & leadership by example from women in the field of law. This award will be presented to a current female law student for the following academic year in the amount of $2,000.00 & will be paid at the beginning of the fall semester (2015)
