Unrestricted gifts allow the Dean to fund the most pressing needs of UCLA School of Law. However, you may designate your gift for a specific area of support: student scholarship and support, faculty research and support, and library and technology support.
Building the school’s permanent endowment is critical to our future success. Some options are listed below. For more information on giving a gift to fund major priorities, please contact Donna Colin, Director of Major Gifts at (310) 825-3025 or via email at email@example.com
Endowed Academic Chairs
Endowed Academic Chairs acknowledge the commitment and work of our most illustrious faculty members and give UCLA School of Law an opportunity to attract and retain the best minds in the country. We currently have 22 endowed chairs and we have major gift campaigns underway to fully fund additional endowed chairs. A minimum of $2 million is required to establish an Endowed Academic Chair in Law.
Endowed Prizes, Scholarships, and Fellowships
Endowed Scholarships and Prizes for students allow UCLA School of Law to provide needed financial support to promising students and to reward academic achievement. Endowed Fellowships help our school to attract and retain potential faculty members, while providing support to some of our most popular academic programs. The minimum required to fund an endowed prize is $50,000; for endowed scholarships or fellowships the minimum is $250,000.
Endowed Lecture Series
Endowed Lectures give our students, faculty, alumni and community members the opportunity to hear first-hand lectures from prestigious teachers and leaders worldwide. Fund income covers the expenses of bringing such speakers to campus. A minimum gift of $250,000 is necessary to establish an Endowed Lecture Series.
