Thank you so much for your interest in our newest UCLA Law alumni. We are so excited to have you supervising and mentoring our new graduates in their first post graduate legal position.
*Our new graduates can work up to 20 hours a week for 10 weeks (or potentially more weeks if the graduate works less than 20 hours per week), for a total of 200 funding hours. You are not expected to pay your graduate, as compensation is handled via the graduate and UCLA. Graduates are employees of the UCLA School of Law, which should negate any concerns about the labor laws related to unpaid interns.
*You are not required to permanently hire your graduate upon completion of the program. However, this is certainly not discouraged. A number of host employers have provided our students with long-term employment after completing their 10 week work experience.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any additional questions or concerns you may have regarding the New Graduate Opportunity Program.
