Entertainment, Media, & Intellectual Property Law Program

Nigel_Lythgoe_speakerThe Entertainment, Media, and Intellectual Property Law Program has established two parallel series of compelling guest speakers who enrich both the practical and academic content of the concentration and the general study of entertainment law. The Lunchtime Speaker Series (presented in association with the Entertainment Law Association) brings a wide variety of industry professionals (including executives, agents, journalists, lawyers and others) to the law school for informal discussions of their areas of expertise, their views of the present and future of their sector of the business, and how they got to their present position. This series is open to all law students, and invitations are also extended selectively to graduate students at the Anderson School of Business and at the School of Theater, Film and Television.

The Entertainment Roundtables present distinguished alumni of the law school who share their career path and introduce current and topical matters of interest which they are handling. The setting is a more intimate, private luncheon limited to 20 law students, who have the opportunity to participate in a relaxed question-and-answer period of about an hour. Both series have proven to be overwhelming successes, with enthusiastic attendance at every session.
