The UCLA “BruinCard” serves as your official university identification card.  For a complete description of BruinCard features and functions, please visit http://www.bruincard.ucla.edu. To apply for your BruinCard, visit this page and follow the instructions to submit your application: https://secure.bruincard.ucla.edu/bcw/secure/bruincardphotoid/photoinstructions.aspx.

To log in, enter your UCLA Logon and password. (Note that these are not the same as your law school LawNet ID and password. Your UCLA Logon and password were created when you accepted the offer of admission through the URSA website earlier this year. If unsure of your Logon, visit http://www.ursa.ucla.edu and click “Look up UCLA Logon.”) After you complete the application, the website will enable you to upload an electronic copy of your photograph to appear on your card. If you do not have an electronic copy of your photo and you submitted one to the law school earlier this year, please email Vic Telesino and he will send you an electronic copy.

After submitting the application, you will receive a confirmation email when your information is received and a second email when your submission has been approved, typically within one week. Upon successful on-line submission, your BruinCard will be available for pick-up at the BruinCard Office within 5-7 business days after you submitted your application. A map from the law school to the BruinCard Office, located at 123 Kerckhoff Hall, is below.

When you pick up your card, be sure to tell the staff that you are a law student; the BruinCard for law students contains a special law school designation, which is necessary to gain access to the Law Library. Please also note that in order to receive your BruinCard at the office, you must present official identification in one of the following three forms: (1) Passport, (2) driver’s license or state identification card, or (3) military identification card.

Your first BruinCard will be issued free of charge.  If you have previously attended UCLA and were issued a BruinCard, you will be asked to return that card before being issued your new Law School BruinCard.  If you no longer have your original BruinCard, or if it is damaged, the University will charge a replacement fee of $23.50 for lost/stolen cards and $6.75 for damaged cards.
