Elizabeth Potter Scully is a founding partner at Jacobson Scully Shebby LLP. Her practice is devoted to family law, and includes mediation and consensual dispute resolution, minor’s counsel work, pre- and post-marital agreements and traditional litigation. She received her A.B. in Classics (Latin) magna cum laude from Harvard and her J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of Law. Following law school, she practiced at Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP in San Diego, then joined Kaufman, Young, Spiegel, Robinson & Kenerson LLP in Beverly Hills where she became a partner. In 2007, she began a solo practice, which she maintained until forming her current firm in 2010. She has trained extensively in the areas of family law mediation and collaborative law, and has represented over 75 children in contested custody matters in Probate and Family Court. She previously taught legal writing at Whittier Law School. She serves on the Family Law Executive Committee of the Beverly Hills Bar Association and on the Board of Levitt & Quinn Family Law Center, a nonprofit law firm serving the working poor. She is certified as a Specialist in Family Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.
