Victor Jih co-teaches the Ninth Circuit Appellate Practice Clinic. He is a partner at O’Melveny & Myers LLP and a member of their Business and Trial and Litigation Practice.  His areas of practice include entertainment, copyright and trademark, First Amendment, unfair competition, consumer privacy, contract and other commercial disputes.

Jih’s professional experience includes: representation of major motion picture studios,  international media companies and leading internet companies; opposition against the blocking of the California Gubernatorial Recall Election; trade dress infringement; representation of the bipartisan leadership of the House of Representatives on copyright issues before the U.S. Supreme Court; and complex commercial disputes on behalf of and against foreign companies. 

Jih is a member of the Los Angeles Film Teachers Association and the Century City Employment Committee.  He was named a “Top 40 Minority Attorney Under 40” by the National Law Journal (2011).  He received his B.A. with distinction and honors in Political Science and Ethics in Society from Stanford University and his J.D. from Harvard Law School magna cum laude.
