LAW 561A/B - Perspectives on Law and Lawyering

We will examine the City of Los Angeles and its environment through three non-fiction books, one book chapter and two movies.  The course’s principal focus is on the city’s most significant environmental problems, air, water and transportation but we will also read about the city’s history and explore its use as a “character” in a famous science fiction movie.
