Professor Volokh Comments on First Amendment in AFP Article on Inability of U.S. Government to Act Against Anti-Islam Inciters


​September 14, 2012 -- Professor Eugene Volokh commented on free speech and the First Amendment in an article on the inability of the U.S. Government to act against anti-Islam inciters. His comments appear in an Agence France Presse article.

"The US government is powerless in the specific sense that the constitution allows Americans to speak this way without fear of being thrown in prison because some people find what they say blasphemous," professor Eugene Volokh, an expert on free speech law, told AFP.
