Landlord/Tenant

Partner Agency: Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA)

This clinic advocates for low-income tenants who are at risk of eviction. Participants in the clinic assist staff attorneys at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles in Santa Monica with intake and counseling of clients with landlord disputes. Volunteers assist clients with paperwork, interview clients, discuss problems with an attorney, and counsel clients on the best course of action. Solve real legal problems and help low-income clients keep their homes. Volunteers are asked to participate at least 2-3 times per semester.
