UCLA Law Covid-19 Behind Bars Data Project - Court Orders

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues, state and federal judges have been increasingly asked to use their authority to release people from jails and prisons and to order improvements to conditions for those who remain. This page tracks those orders. If you would like to submit an order for inclusion in the database, please email COVIDBehindBars@law.ucla.edu.

For the full record on many of these cases and more Covid-19-related legal filings, please visit the Civil Rights Litigation Clearinghouse, Covid-19 Special Collection (from the University of Michigan Law School).
