Promise Institute Career Resources

The Promise Institute provides group and individualized one-on-one careers counselling to students intending to pursue a career in human rights.  The Promise Institute holds multiple careers events per year, and provides students with the opportunity to connect with our event speakers in small groups to discuss career paths.

The Promise Institute offers up to two post-graduate fellowship positions each year.  These fellowships provide students with funding to work with an organization for a year following graduation.  Previous Promise Institute Fellows have worked with Reprieve, Dejusticia, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UN HCR), the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals, Human Rights Watch, the National Youth Law Center, the Center for Justice and Accountability, the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights, and the Global Litigation Action Network.

The International and Comparative Law Program, the Promise Institute for Human Rights and the Office of Public Interest Programs have a helpful guide to assist students in their job search.
