Client-Centered Elder Law

Students in the Client-Centered Elder Law practicum discuss topics in elder law and engage in simulation exercises designed to develop client interviewing and client counseling skills. Students have the opportunity for field placement at the Bet Tzedek Elder Abuse Restraining Order Self-Help Clinic or the Bet Tzedek Conservatorship Clinic, assisting self-represented litigants to file elder abuse restraining order petitions and related documents, or helping those seeking conservatorship for elders or developmentally disabled individuals.
