The UCLA Transnational Program on Criminal Justice is delighted to welcome Marc Thommen, a professor of criminal law and criminal procedure at the University of Zürich, as a UCLA School of Law Fellow in 2018. As a Fellow, Thommen will continue his research on efficiency in the administration of criminal justice with special emphasis on prosecutorial discretion and the problems of plea bargaining in the American criminal justice system.
Thommen received his Ph.D. from the University of Basel, his LL.B. from the University of Zürich and his LL.M. degree from the University of Cambridge.
