James Salzman Writes in Washington Post on Urgent Need to Save the Endangered Species Act

Professor James Salzman co-authored an op-ed in The Washington Post in which he argues that the Endangered Species Act, a crucial 44-year old law that most Americans support, is in need of reform but has been under attack by every Congress over the last three decades.  “Passed with nearly unanimous bipartisan support and signed by President Richard Nixon in 1973, the Endangered Species Act is not just a law; it is a moral pledge to protect plant and animal species from going extinct,” writes Salzman.
