The International Justice Project (IJP) is an extra-curricular student-run clinic that pairs student teams with international human rights and justice organizations. IJP is supervised by Jessica Peake, Director of the International and Comparative Law Program and Assistant Director of the Promise Institute, This year, students in IJP are working on the following projects:
- Developing a community college curriculum on international humanitarian law, human rights law and international policing norms, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Branch of the American Red Cross and the Los Angeles Community College District;
- Producing online training modules for human rights defenders in Sri Lanka and Cambodia, in partnership with International Bridges to Justice;
- Compiling a report on existing customary law obligations and possible new obligations arising out of the Global Pact for the Environment, in association with Independent International Legal Advocates.
