Prison Food: A Panel Discussion

The Prison Law and Policy Program and the Resnick Program for Food Law and Policy invite the UCLA Law community to attend a panel on prison food.  Guests include prisoner's rights advocates Mark-Anthony Johnson and Jayda Rasberry, who was incarcerated for six years in Valley State Prison; and California Department of Corrections food administrator Laurie Maurino.

The panel will discuss issues including prison nutrition, food safety, state budgetary limitations, and the experience of eating prison food.  Lunch will be provided and will consist of selected last meal requests of people on death row.
