Kim Kessler’s radio show “Eating Matters” – Episode 12 aired on December 4th on Heritage Radio Network

December 4, 2014 – Kim Kessler, Policy and Special Programs Director of the Resnick Program for Food Law and Policy, aired the twelfth episode of “Eating Matters,” on Heritage Radio Network titled “Going Local – Western Catskills.” In this episode, Kim and guest co-host Michael Melcher welcome Rebecca Morgan, the Executive Director of the Center for Agricultural Development and Entrepreneurship (CADE). As a non-profit, agricultural development organization, CADE strives to build a thriving community-based local food system by serving farmers, cooperatives, and agricultural businesses and by working to connect producers of specialty farm products to markets. Kim asks Rebecca to shine light on foodshed development in the Catskills and on the state of local agriculture. After the break, Rebecca expands on CADE and on Lucky Dog Local Food Hub’s recent announcement of being selected for funding through the Local Food Promotion Program of the USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service.
