UCLA Law Women LEAD and the
UCLA Documentary Film Legal Clinic invite students and alumni to attend a screening of RBG, the celebrated 2018 documentary chronicling the life, jurisprudence, influence and surprising celebrity of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. A widely respected jurist and outspoken voice for equal treatment under the law, Justice Ginsburg has had a profound influence on the law, the legal profession and women in the law since being named to the Supreme Court in 1993. The event starts with a reception, followed by a screening of the movie and then a discussion. A panel of UCLA Law alumnae and practitioners will address the evolution of women in the legal practice, how pioneers such as Justice Ginsburg impacted the profession for women, and where are we today.
