What's in a Name (Image and Likeness)?

October 27, 2021 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
In June 2021, the NCAA adopted an interim policy to allow student-athletes to pursue opportunities to commercialize their name, image and likeness. As institutions and college athletes adapt to this watershed moment, the ripples of the new policy can be felt across the country.

Please join the Ziffren Institue for this special IN-Sports event, as we invite panelists from the NCAA, UCLA Athletics, and former and current student-athletes to discuss the new policy, how it is impacting the current landscape of college athletics, the future of amateurism, and changes to come, if any, to the status quo.

Panelists:
Erin Adkins, Associate Athletic Director, UCLA Athletics, Compliance
Scott Bearby, Interim Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Counsel, NCAA
Norah Flatley, Student-Athlete, UCLA, Women's Gymnastics
Cody McDavis '19, Associate, Jennings, Strouss & Salmon, PLC (former NCAA Student-Athlete)
