Erik Encarnacion is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Law and Philosophy at UCLA School of Law for 2018-2020. Before joining UCLA, he was a Climenko Fellow and Lecturer in Law at Harvard Law School, and previously an attorney at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York.
Encarnacion earned his A.B. magna cum laude in Philosophy from Princeton University. He also earned his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law where he was a Harlan Fisk Stone Scholar. He earned a Ph.D. in philosophy from University of Southern California where he was awarded a Provost Fellowship. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable Ronald Lee Gilman for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in Memphis, Tennessee.
Encarnacion’s teaching and research interests focus on contract law and related areas.
