Lecturer in Law
Shannon Price Minter is a lecturer at UCLA School of Law and will teach Sexual Orientation, Gender, and the Law. His research lies in the areas of LGBTQ civil rights, the transgender movement, and democratic theory. He currently serves as the Legal Director of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, a civil rights organization for LGBTQ people, where he oversees the Center’s national litigation and policy programs.
Minter received a B.A. at the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D., Magna Cum Laude, Order of the Coif, at Cornell Law School.
Minter is a co-author of Family Law for LGBTQ People and a co-editor of Transgender Rights, as well as numerous articles addressing LGBTQ legal issues.
