Susan Hilderley will teach the Music Industry Clinic at UCLA School of Law. She is of counsel for King, Holmes, Paterno & Soriano, LLP, having recently joined KHPS’s renowned group of music attorneys representing top talent including artists, producers and songwriters as well as record labels, music executives and entrepreneurs. She was previously a record company business affairs executive for over 20 years, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and Head of Business and Legal Affairs at Interscope Geffen A&M Records, a division of the Universal Music Group. While at Interscope, Susan worked with other senior executives to develop new business models, grow new revenue streams, and adapt the company's core recorded music business in a constantly changing and challenging environment. She structured and negotiated a wide variety of deals, including complex joint venture agreements, 360 deals, management agreements, and competitive new artist signings, while also training and supervising junior attorneys and other business affairs staff. Susan began her legal career at the law firm of Mitchell, Silberberg & Knupp, where she handled a broad range of transactional matters.
Susan received her B.A. in psychology summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, and her J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School.
