Rebecca Tushnet of Harvard Law School, will deliver the 2018 Melville B. Nimmer Memorial Lecture.
Rebecca Tushnet, the inaugural Frank Stanton Professor of
the First Amendment at Harvard Law School, will deliver the 2018 Melville B.
Nimmer Memorial Lecture at UCLA Law. Tushnet is well-known for representing
writers of fan fiction in their copyright and trademark disputes with copyright
holders. A former clerk for Supreme Court Justice David Souter, Tushnet
practiced at Debevoise & Plimpton before becoming a professor at NYU School
of Law, then Georgetown University Law Center, and now Harvard Law School.
