Rebecca Tushnet, the inaugural Frank Stanton Professor of the First Amendment at Harvard Law School, will deliver the 2018 Melville B. Nimmer Memorial Lecture at UCLA Law. Tushnet is well-known for representing writers of fan fiction in their copyright and trademark disputes with copyright holders. A former clerk for Supreme Court Justice David Souter, Tushnet practiced at Debevoise & Plimpton before becoming a professor at NYU School of Law, then Georgetown University Law Center, and now Harvard Law School.
