August 17, 2012 – Professor Kenneth Klee talked about the U.S. trustee’s recent rigid attitude when it comes to patrolling bankruptcy courts (Chapter 11 cases), in an article in the Dow Jones Daily Bankruptcy Review.
“Under the leadership of Cliff White, it’s fair to say the office of the U.S. trustee has become much more activist in policing Chapter 11 cases than it was in previous administrations,” he said. “The U.S. trustees’ objectives are to preserve the integrity of the bankruptcy system. Sometimes in doing so it will not be in the best interest of a particular company.”
