UCLA Students Compete at Environmental Negotiations Competition

UCLA Law students Ben Harris (2L), Luke Grunbaum, (2L), Sarah Kozal (2L), and Greg Maestri (3L) participated in the California State Bar Association's 2015Environmental Negotiations Competition. Sarah and Greg advanced to finals, and placed third out of a total of 26 teams. The competition is held every year, and gives students experience working with the kinds of issues that they may encounter in future environmental practice. This year’s event was held at Golden Gate University, and featured mock negotiations between lawyers representing an oil refinery, a Native American tribe, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Fifteen California law schools participated.
