Professor Joanna Schwartz Quoted in U.S. News & World Report on City of Baltimore Wrongful Death Settlement

September 9, 2015 – Professor Joanna Schwartz commented in U.S. News & World Report, as well as other news outlets including the Christian Science Monitor and ThinkProgress, stating that taxpayers – and not the police department – will cover the cost of the City of Baltimore’s $6.4 million wrongful death settlement to the family of Freddie Gray, a teenager who died while in police custody.
