Professor Dolovich Quoted in Daily Journal Article on Habeas Petition Which Claims Sheriff's Department Suppressed Critical Evidence

November 18, 2015—Professor Sharon Dolovich was quoted in a Daily Journal article on how the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department may have suppressed critical exculpatory evidence, including the existence of a key witness and video of police abuse. This was according to a habeas petition filed on behalf of a Los Angeles Men's Central Jail inmate.

“The manner in which the district attorney's office proceeded in the case was troubling,” said Professor Sharon Dolovich, faculty director of the UCLA program in Prison Law and Policy, who also served as a deputy general counsel on the Citizens' Commission on Jail Violence.
