Professor Kimberlé Crenshaw Honored by Safe Magazine as Among “16 Global Heroes Who Go There”

November 20, 2015 –   Professor Kimberlé Crenshaw was recently honored by Safe Magazine for being among “16 Global Heroes Who Go There,” a nod to activists from around the world who support those who are at risk for, and who have suffered from, violence.  Crenshaw and the African American Policy Forum, an organization which she co-founded, were honored for working to preserve and draw attention to the legacies and dreams of African-American women who have been killed by law enforcement or while in police custody.
