Professor Volokh Comments on U.S. News & World Report Article about AIDS Healthcare Foundation's Push for Preventative Regulations

November 10, 2015 – Professor Eugene Volokh commented on a U.S. News & World Report article about a state-wide initiative supported by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation requiring that actors use condoms in pornographic films.

"I'm inclined to say it would be constitutional," says UCLA law professor Eugene Volokh. "Generally speaking, the government has considerable authority to restrict conduct even when that incidentally affects speech, so long as the restriction is unrelated to the content of the speech and so long as it's sufficiently connected to some important government interest."
