ATTENTION EDITORS AND REPORTERS
WHAT: UCLA School of Law will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the landmark annual UCLA Entertainment Symposium, which each year addresses critical legal issues facing the entertainment industry.
This year’s symposium will offer a series of presentations and panel discussions by leading attorneys and entertainment industry executives who will address a variety of topics, including: evolving data and technology trends and what they mean for content and business; the implications of China’s investment in Hollywood; recent trends of bankruptcy in the entertainment industry; practical tips from leading studio labor negotiators; emerging streaming services - beyond Netflix, Amazon and Hulu; litigation and copyright updates; and legal ethics.
The symposium will feature a keynote discussion with:
- Kenneth Ziffren, Partner, Ziffren Brittenham LLP, Founder, Ziffren Center for Media, Entertainment, Technology & Sports Law at UCLA Law
- Anne Sweeney, Member of the Board, Netflix and Formerly Co-Chair, Disney Media Works and President, Disney/ABC Television Group
