Washington Post Cites Eugene Volokh in Article on Trump’s Decision to Block Twitter Followers

Professor Eugene Volokh was cited by news outlets around the world including the Washington Post, Chicago Tribune and Mumbai Mirror in discussions of Donald Trump’s decision to block several Twitter users who were critical of the president, which some feel is a violation of the First Amendment. Professor Volokh said a First Amendment violation is not clear, given that Trump’s Twitter page could be viewed as a personal account rather than a government account.

Volokh was also quoted in Pro Publica stating that government and public agency accounts should not impose “viewpoint-based restrictions.”
