The Ringer Cites Hiroshi Motomura on Confidentiality of DACA Database

The Ringer cited Professor Hiroshi Motomura regarding the DACA database, which holds hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants’ personal information. As the data are the property of the federal government, officials worry that the Trump administration can utilize it to track down and deport DACA recipients. However, Professor Motomura assured that this can be avoided.

“If someone were to file a lawsuit protecting that information, I think the chances are pretty good that the information would be protected,” he explained.
