Dream Act Can Advance Rule of Law on Immigration, Writes Hiroshi Motomura in LA Times

In an op-ed for the Los Angeles Times, Professor Hiroshi Motomura argued that there are compelling humanitarian and economic reasons to pass the long-stalled Dream Act, which proposes to extend lawful immigration status to undocumented immigrants.  “The enforcement system is tilting toward vigilantism on a federal government payroll, the very opposite of the rule of law,” writes Motomura. Passage of the Dream Act, “would advance the rule of law by bringing immigration enforcement, for Dreamers and their loved ones, into the light of day.”
