New Classes in International Law

The Promise Institute for Human Rights and International and Comparative Law Program are delighted to launch the creation of several new courses in Spring 2018.

Classes supported by the Promise Institute included a January Term course called Hard Cases Make (Bad) Human Rights Law, led by visiting professor Joseph Weiler, who is the European Union Jean Monnet Chair at New York University Law School; a Prospects for International Justice course taught by lecturer Richard Dicker, who leads Human Right Watch's international justice program; and a Honduras Field Experience program led by Clinical and Experiential Project Director Joseph Berra, in which students visited Honduras and worked with indigenous people and other members of communities marginalized by political upheaval and violence in the country.

ICLP launched a Law of the Sea course taught by Vasilka Sancin, a professor of international law at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia.
