Ann Carlson Quoted in Climatewire on Possible Outcome of Cities’ Lawsuits Against Big Oil

Professor Ann Carlson was quoted in Climatewire on what the outcome might be for big oil companies should they be found liable in even one of several lawsuits filed by California cities and counties against them for creating climate damages.  "If one of [the judges] holds the defendants liable even if [others] don't, that is a huge victory for plaintiffs seeking to establish the defendants are responsible for the harms," said Carlson, co-director of the Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment.
