Hiroshi Motomura’s Writing on Distinctions of Asylum Seekers Noted in Washington Post

Professor Hiroshi Motomura’s writing on the distinctions between asylum seekers and undocumented migrants was noted in a Washington Post article, which drew from his book, “Immigration Outside the Law,” (Oxford Press, 2014).  Motomura wrote, “law and popular culture have come to accept that asylum seekers are unlike other unauthorized migrants,” in accordance with “humanitarian obligations” that are rooted in post-World War II international conventions and norms.
