Kal Raustiala Quoted in Russian News Kommersant on International Protections for Diplomats, Embassies

Professor Kal Raustiala was quoted in the Russian news outlet Kommersant on how international laws give a degree of protections to diplomats, embassies and consulates.  “The host government itself decides who is given diplomatic status, and may influence where embassies and consulates are located,” said Raustiala. “According to international law, host country governments may close diplomatic missions and expel diplomats, which indeed regularly happens.”
