Emmett Institute Experts Weigh in on Climate-Change Suits Against Oil Firms

Ann Carlson and Sean Hecht of UCLA School of Law's Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment were quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle and Climatewire, commenting on the lawsuit in which Oakland and San Francisco are seeking damages from multinational oil companies for climate-change impacts. Carlson is the Shirley Shapiro Professor of Environmental Law at UCLA Law. Hecht is the school’s Evan Frankel Professor of Policy and Practice. Both are co-directors of the Emmett Institute.
