Steven Bank Speaks With The Columbus Dispatch on the 90-Day Pause in Crew SC Lawsuit

Professor Steven Bank spoke with The Columbus Dispatch on Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Judge Jeffrey Brown’s institution of a 90-day pause on the lawsuit initiated by the state of Ohio and the city of Columbus against Major League Soccer team, Crew SC, which wants to move to Austin, Texas. Brown ordered that negotiations between the parties for settlement of this case shall continue during the 90-day tolling period. Bank says, “My immediate reaction is that on one hand they’re splitting the difference, and on the other hand it’s clearly leaning towards the plaintiffs. But you could view that leaning toward the plaintiffs as a nudge to, ‘Hey, guys, let’s settle this.’”
