Katherine Stone Writes for SCOTUSblog on Epic Systems v. Lewis

Professor Katherine Stone wrote for SCOTUSblog on the recent Supreme Court decision in Epic Systems v. Lewis. The decision allows employers to force employees to waive their rights in bringing employment claims on a collective or group basis, either in a court or in an arbitration proceeding.

“By endorsing clauses that require workers to take their claims to arbitration on an individual basis, Epic Systems empowers employers to deprive their employees of any viable mechanism to enforce their rights,” Stone wrote.
