Eugene Volokh Comments in Daily Bruin on UCLA Leadership’s Safety Measures Two Years After Shooting

Professor Eugene Volokh spoke with the Daily Bruin on UCLA leadership’s safety measure two years after a murder-suicide shooting on June 1, 2016. Following Chancellor Gene Block’s creation of the Campus Safety Task Force in 2016 and its reforms, Volokh commented that emergency alert systems can still be effective even if most students do not know they are operating. “A message that reaches one person in a crowd can help inform the whole crowd,” Volokh said.
