The Resnick Center hosted Camilla Talia, an Italian Ph.D. student focused on international protection of geographical indications for food products, as a visiting scholar during the 2017-2018 year. Talia studies in the department of law at the University of Ferrara.
The Resnick Center hosted Ellison Griep as a research scholar during the summer of 2018. Griep, who is pursuing a Master's degree at the Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, worked on a number of research and policy projects for the center.
The Resnick Center was pleased that this year Silvia Rolandi, a visiting scholar to UCLA Law and the Resnick Center in 2016, was awarded her Ph.D. from the prestigious Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, Italy. Silvia's doctoral thesis was titled, "EU Business-to-Consumer Food E-Commerce." Resnick Center Executive Director Michael Roberts was privileged to serve on Rolandi's thesis committee.
