Paul Ryan could run simultaneously in Wisconsin for president and for re-election to the US House. Section 8.03(1) bars running for 2 offices simultaneously, but 8.03(2) makes an exception for presidential or vice-presidential candidates.

This article by Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard suggests a significant possibility that Paul Ryan will seek the Republican presidential nomination. http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/ryan-president_590273.html I would not bet on it, but the possibility makes the following questions salient: Under Wisconsin law, can Ryan seek the presidential nomination and also be a candidate in the Republican primary as a candidate for reelection to the House? If so and if he achieves both nominations, can he appear on the general election ballot as a candidate for president and as a candidate for reelection to the House? Does anyone know the answers? Best, Daniel
