[EL] Texas reply brief in stay case

Via Quorum Report (a Texas-based insider publication), a Republican State
Senator is actually criticizing AG Abbott and urging him to "tone down" his
anti-DOJ rhetoric. Senator Carona, who made the statement in a comment over
at Paul Burka's Texas Monthly blog yesterday, isn't exactly a moderate, but
is well-known for saying what is on his mind. I've copied the relevant

STATE SEN. CARONA OFFERS SOME FRANK ADVICE TO GREG ABBOTT (UPDATED)

In a comment posted on Paul Burka's blog, Carona tells the Attorney General
that he'd be doing the state and lawmakers "a big favor by toning down the
DOJ rhetoric and dealing effectively with the legal matters before him."

Senator:

"Attorney General Abbott would do the state and its Republican legislators

by antagonizing those from whom the state’s Republican majority seek a fair
and prompt ruling. This is not the time for the AG’s office to be seeking
political cover."

Burka wrote in a standalone post highlighting the comment that he had
confirmed with Carona's office that he wrote the comment. [...]
