Does attacking judges pay off? Gingrich isn't the only R Presidential
candidate active this way (Bachman, Santorum) but as so often, he's more
active.
This brought him a NYTimes editorial attack Sunday. But on other hand,
it's brought him Iowa support-see yesterday's NYT "Iowa Evangelicals
Split over Caucus Endorsement", noting that Newt had gotten several
hundred thousand dollars for the Iowa/2010 effort that succeeded in
defeating three Justices who were up for retention.
Yesterday's article will register with pols and consultants for whom
it's a Flashing Billboard on the value of attacking judges -at least in
2010 in Iowa. The article opens on Bob VanderPlaats (with his picture)
who led the attack. He'd lost three GOP primaries but found a route that
made him one of the State's top R's.
Why don't I feel better that my side has the NYTmes editorial board?
