[EL] Corporate giving report

For those interested, the Center for Competitive Politics today released
a package of reports on corporate political speech and efforts to get
corporations to voluntarily give up all political speech on the theory
that this harms the corporation's value or is unfair to shareholders.

 

The package includes an analysis by Professor J.W. Verrett of George
Mason University School of Law of corporate governance reforms proposed
in response to Citizens United; commentary from Roger Coffin, Associate
Director of the Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance at the
University of Delaware, and CCP's Director of Litigation, Allen
Dickerson, a report by Mr. Dickerson on activist investing and
directors' fiduciary duties post-Citizens United, and items from CCP's
