Just a quick note for reporters, and others, writing about this case:
The NVRA is the National Voter Registration Act. Note that the R is for the
word Registration, not for the word Rights. The meaning of the letters NVRA
is often confused with the Voting Rights Act (VRA, with no "N"), as in the
story below by Reuters. As of 8pm EST it calls the NVRA the "national
Voting Rights Act". An understandable slip since both acts have the letters
"V R A" in their abbreviation and both are mentioned in the AZ opinion.
While on the subject, the NVRA, in my opinion, should also not be called
"Moter Voter" because the Act is actually covers a host of equally
important provisions. For instance, in the AZ case, the section of the NVRA
regarding mail-in voter registration applications comes into play.
